MAX 2

Featuring Emmy® Award-Winning 360 Technology

TRUE 8K 360 VIDEO

MAX2 delivers True 8K, resulting in up to 21% more resolution than the competition. This means sharper detail and unmatched image quality you only get from GoPro.

MAX2 NEVER MISSES

360 video captures everything around you—just record and pick the best angles later in the app. You never have to aim, but always get the shot.

GET THE SHOT. NOT THE POLE.

Capture those incredible invisible selfies, third-person drone-like footage and more iconic 360 shots.

THE ONLY 360 CAM BUILT FOR THIS

MAX2 is the toughest, most versatile 360 camera because it's a GoPro. It thrives in high speeds, water, dirt, snow, and is built to perform in any environment.

TWIST-AND-GO REPLACEABLE LENSES

MAX2 replaceable lenses are made from super-strong optical glass, making them tough and difficult to break. And if they ever do get damaged, you won’t have to replace the entire camera—just swap lenses and get back to the action.

THE BEST POV. PERIOD.

Get wide-as-you-want POV for the most thrilling + immersive shots

Capture 360 formatted directly for POV shots, or explore any angle later in the app

Adjustable video stabilization + Horizon Lock

SUPER SLO-MO IN 360

Slow the action way down with amazing 4K100 spherical video (that’s 3X slo-mo). Or go with a higher-resolution 5.6K60—up to 2X slow motion.

10-BIT COLOR IN 8K + 300MBPS + GP-LOG

Capture over 1 billion colors in 8K, delivering a more realistic image with true-to-the-eye colors, and up to 300Mbps bitrate with GoPro Labs—the highest on any consumer 360 camera. And pro-users can use GP-Log Encoding with LUT.

EPIC 29MP 360° PHOTOS

Get ultra high-res 360° photos and legendary GoPro point-of-view shots. You’ll have the flexibility to crop, zoom and Reframe for the exact look you want in the Quik app.

TURN 360 FOOTAGE INTO RAD VIDEOS FROM THE CLOUD

Editing 360 footage is called Reframing, and the creative possibilities are endless. It’s super easy to pick the shots you want. Then track objects, add dynamic movements and transitions, even use multiple Reframe modes in the same clip—all with just a few taps.

FREESTYLE YOUR EDITS

With MotionFrame, simply move your phone within 360 footage to find the best angles.

KEYFRAMES

Easily select your field of view at specific moments in time, and transitions are automatically generated between them.

CAMERAFX

Make your videos more exhilarating than ever with CameraFX. These let you easily add pro-level motion with effects like Spin, Flip, Roll, Wobble, Tiny Planet and more.

EASY POV + SELFIE MODES

The easiest way to get GoPro’s world-famous, immersive POV and selfies. The camera automatically shows you a front-facing 180° view, or the reverse angle for an awesome third-person selfie.*

*But MAX never misses—you still capture in 360 when shooting in these modes, so you can explore all the angles.

SHOOT FOR YOUTUBE + TIKTOK AT THE SAME TIME

Shooting 360 enables you to grab any aspect ratio from any shot. You get the best vertical capture and the best widescreen capture without changing any mounting setups.

STUNNING 4K60 SINGLE-LENS CAPTURE

180° IN 4K60

Get super wide, immersive POV shots from the front or back lens with the Max HyperView digital lens. It delivers a 180° field of view in stunning 4K60. 4 other digital lenses are available with 4K60, too—Linear, Wide, Ultra Wide and Max SuperView.

SAY GOODBYE TO SHAKY VIDEOS

Max HyperSmooth is our most powerful video stabilization, delivering maximum smoothness in the roughest conditions. And 360 Horizon Lock keeps all your shots level, whether you’re spinning, flipping or chasing your kids.

WATERPROOF TO 16FT (5M)

COLD-WEATHER ENDURO BATTERY INCLUDED

This long-lasting battery boosts performance in cold temps so you can record longer, and with confidence.

SUPER IMMERSIVE AUDIO

Whether it’s POV footage, follow-cams or stationary shots, it’ll be your best-sounding video.

IMMERSIVE AUDIO + PRECISE CONTROL

When shooting 360, the 6-microphone array captures clean stereo audio from all around you + reduces wind noise for the best sound quality ever in a GoPro. In Single Lens Mode, you can automatically match stereo audio width to your video field of view, or manually select Front, Back, or Match Lens options for precise control over where your audio is captured.
