CRMX Transmitter Box

AsteraBox and its successor AsteraBox WIFI serve as interfaces between lights and controllers.

AsteraBox functions as a Bluetooth Bridge that connects lights with phones or tablets and enables AsteraApp control. Thanks to the built-in battery, it can be carried around to ensure that it stays close to your handheld device. While the classic AsteraBox connects via Bluetooth, the newer version also supports Wifi when connecting box to phone or tablet.

In addition, both AsteraBox models can be used as wireless DMX transmitters using LumenRadio’s industry-leading CRMX technology. This way you can control Astera lights as well as other CRMX-enabled lights from a DMX controller.

App Control

Use the AsteraBox as Bluetooth Bridge – the interface between AsteraApp and lights. Once connected, this enables control, monitoring, and setup of the lights. With Astera’s Talkback+ feature, lights can talk back to the AsteraApp, these commands are automatically forwarded by the AsteraBox.

Wireless DMX Transmitter

Connect the AsteraBox to your DMX console via the included DMX Adapter Cable to transmit wireless DMX data to your lights. We have included a CRMX module from LumenRadio which enables you to communicate to all lights with built-in CRMX module. The AsteraBox can also be set as a DMX receiver if needed.

1) The use of adjacent frequency bands within this table as a single frequency band is permitted, provided that the specific conditions for each of these adjacent frequency bands are met. 2) „duty cycle“ means the ratio of Σ(Ton)/(Tobs) expressed as a percentage, where ‚Ton‘ is the ‚on-time‘ of a single transmitting device and ‚Tobs‘ is the observation period Ton is measured in an observation frequency band (Fobs). Unless otherwise specified in this general allocation, Tobs is a continuous period of one hour and Fobs is the applicable frequency band in this general allocation (table). 3) Frequency access and interference mitigation techniques shall be used whose performance level at least meets the essential requirements of Directive 2014/53/EU or the Radio Equipment Act (FuAG). Where relevant techniques are described in harmonised standards, the references of which have been published in the Official Journal of the European Union pursuant to Directive 2014/53/EU, or parts thereof, performance shall be ensured which is at least equivalent to those techniques.
