EX 4 Calibration
EX4 colorimeter for Eizo ColorEdge monitor calibration is equipped with EX4 calibration sensor that interacts with ColorNavigator 7 software for calibration of EIZO monitors in the ColorEdge line. EIZO’s hardware calibration is a process that takes place within the monitor itself by setting a target in the dedicated color management software: an ICC profile that is automatically generated when the monitor calibration is completed. The calibration information and parameters are saved directly on the monitor, rather than on the computer’s operating system. This way, even if you reboot the pc, with Color Navigator, the monitor does not lose its calibration settings.
To achieve accurate and faithful color matching, it is recommended that hardware calibration be performed at regular intervals. For monitors that do not have a built-in sensor, it is necessary to use an external colorimeter such as EX4 that is connected to the monitor via USB port. The ColorNavigator 7 software plays a color palette on the monitor that will be measured by the EX4. In this way, you can check the accuracy and precision of the colors represented on the monitor and decide whether recalibration is needed.
